In the past people used to learn mostly with books and teacher. In the classes teacher used to tell the subject, show the methods and expect students to do or learn it. That was a long and hard process because not every student was able to understand in classes, they needed to work more except from the school. Yet they had few sources and tools for studying. On the other hand teachers had really few ways to teach something. They were limited. They had to catch attention in the classes and make students interested in subject somehow because they used to lose connection with their students after school, there were no opportunity to stay in touch. If they can't reach them in the school, they don't have a second chance.
Now, in modern world, education improved with technology so much. Students started to show their skills and creativity easily. In the past students were stick to their teacher, it was teacher centered learning. Yet today, it is learner centered learning, teachers are only a guide for students, they only show it and wait for students to find ways to learn things or solve problems. There are computers, cell phones, tablets etc. everywhere. The most important thing, there is internet. On the internet, you can find every possible thing with one click. Also the internet helps students and teachers with their communication. When they are not together in school, they can still talk, communicate and study. Thanks to that, learners learn how to use technology, also get used to work in pairs and together.
As a future teacher, technology will help me inevitably. I will have lots of sources, ways, guides etc. nearby me. In my opinion, compared to past education, modern education is far more better because of the technology. In the 21st century, learning is really effective and efficent also really quick. I am sure mankind will improve technology more in the future, maybe in the 22nd century, we are going to say "21st century learning were slow and unefficent" like we say now for the past.
