This week I discovered a new website in my Educational Technologies class. It is about creating brief and simple chart that you can write about every possible subject for giving information to share with other people on the internet. I got my directions and information about it in my previous class and I wanted to talk about both the website and my subject that I shared via this website. My project was to create a Padlet Wall/Chart about common problems around the world. Problems were listed beforehand and we were supposed to pick one with my friend and create a wall. We chose "Unemployment Issue" for our wall. On this wall, first you mention your subject and give information about what you know about it. You start with this little introduction to your subject. Your wall can be like several windows, tables or lists. In the first part of your chart your introduction comes. What we know about this subject? Today I will talk about "wiki-ing" and I will show you an example of it that we have done with my mate. Wiki-ing is one of the most common things on the internet. It looks like blog or encylopedia but it is not. It is like open website that anyone can edit and share their information about the subjects. You can find film reviews, book reviews, historical information, guides etc. on wiki websites. Me and my firend Berkan wrote a wiki page about a film that we both had watched before. It was a really good task and activity because we both like the film and we enjoy talking about it. Film's name is G.O.R.A. You will find a summary, brief information and comments on this movie. On my latest technology class I learned about Podcasting. It is the way that you can share your ideas, knowledge buy uploading your voice. I think it is fantastic. So I decided to do a podcast that is my own. It was really easy to do. I enjoyed it while I was doing it because the way I did was really joyful. You speak about something and a animation moves its mouth like it is speaking. It can be a dog a bear even a celebrity so I had fun and it was not difficult to do for me. Recording your voice and uploading somewhere that anyone who needs information about topic you mentioned can find is obviously helpful. In the future I might think about doing this method to educate my students or give information about some subjects. They can listen to you everytime they want so it is really useful and effective for learning. The podcast that I recorded and attached here is about "Changing The World". Education has lots of techniques and ways in today's world. Around the globe, everything in the process of changing and education is in that. Everyday a new method a new subject comes up. In order to be aware of changing education, we must follow teachers and learners around the world. Altough it may look imposibble at first sight, it is not with technology. We have to be open to other ideas about education because if we stuck in ourselves, same tactics sam techniques to different students, we fail. To avoid that we must follow other teachers. How can we do that? Obviously by using internet! There are lots of teacher's blogs on the internet. Yet you can get lost while searching blogs because there are so many things on the internet.
